What this page is for
Here you choose your own words for nine common terms, so the app speaks like your business. For example, a spa may say "Treatment" instead of "Class", or "Guest" instead of "Client". At the top, you also choose what the app calls your place: Gym, Spa, Studio, Club, Centre or your own word. What you see
- What do you call your place?: a card at the top. The choices are Gym, Spa, Studio, Club, Centre and Your own word. Under each ready-made choice you see its word in English, French and Arabic. A line below shows an example sentence with the word.
- Words for: the language whose words you are editing (English, العربية or Français). Your own panel stays in your language.
- The list: one row for each of the nine words: Class, Trainer, Facility, Membership, Session, Booking, Client, Staff Member and Appointment.
- Word: the normal word, with a line such as "Normally: Class / Classes".
- Your word (one) and Your word (many): your own word for one and for more than one. An empty box means the normal word is used.
- Reset to default (the round arrow): clears your words on that row.
- Save Changes (top) and Save All Changes (bottom): both save every row.
How to choose what you call your place
- In What do you call your place?, pick Gym, Spa, Studio, Club or Centre. This sets the word in all three languages at once.
- Or pick Your own word and type the word for each language:
• English: the word alone, for example "salon".
• French: with its article, for example "le salon", "la piscine" or "l'institut".
• Arabic: with ال, for example "الصالون". - Click Save the word.
- From then on, the staff panel, the client panel, the app's messages, the owner's emails and these help pages use your word.
How to rename a word
- Under Words for, pick the language.
- Find the row, for example Class.
- Type your word in Your word (one), for example "Session".
- Type the plural in Your word (many), for example "Sessions".
- Click Save Changes.
How to go back to the normal word
- Click Reset to default on the row. Both boxes empty.
- Click Save Changes.
How to rename a word in another language
- Pick the other language under Words for.
- Type your words, then click Save Changes.
- Each language keeps its own words. A rename in English does not change Arabic or French.
Good to know
- What you call your place: Gym is the default, so nothing changes until you pick another. Your own word can be up to 40 characters. Save the word saves only that card; the list of words has its own save buttons. The admin can also set the word when creating your business.
- Where your words show: in the staff panel and the client panel, wherever the app uses that term. They show straight after saving.
- Not every use changes. Longer fixed labels, such as a menu name like "Classes & Services" or a category name, keep their words.
- Plain words only: up to 60 characters, without the signs < > { }.
- Unsaved changes: if you switch language or leave the page with unsaved words, the app asks first.
- Who can do what: anyone who can view settings can look at this page. Only the owner, or a role with permission to update settings, can save. Others see a note, and the boxes are locked.
Common questions
Can I call it a spa instead of a gym? Yes. Pick Spa under What do you call your place?, then click Save the word. The app and these help pages then say "spa".I saved a word, but one screen still shows the old one. Why?
That screen uses a fixed label, not the term. Only the term itself is renamed.
Does saving change my panel's language?
No. Words for only picks which language's words you edit.
How do I undo all my renames?
Click Reset to default on each row you changed, then Save Changes.
