What this page is for
Here you connect outside services to your gym: Stripe for card payments, Twilio SMS for text messages, WhatsApp Business for WhatsApp messages and Email for sending members' emails from your own mailbox. Each service needs its own account with that company. You copy its keys (secret codes) or details from there and paste them here. What you see
- Groups: Payment Gateway, SMS, WhatsApp and Email, each with its service.
- On each card: the service name, a Configured tick when every required key is saved, and a short line on what it does.
- Test or Live on the Stripe card. The app reads this from your keys. Test keys take no real money.
- The switch: turns the service on or off. It stays greyed out until the keys are added ("Add the keys to switch it on.").
- Configure: opens the form with the keys. People who may only look see View instead.
How to connect a service
- Click Configure on its card.
- Read the hint under API Credentials. It says where the service shows each key.
- Paste each key in its box. Boxes with a red star are required.
- Turn Active on if you want to use it now.
- Click Save Integration.
How to switch a service on or off
- Use the switch on its card.
- The app saves at once and shows "enabled" or "disabled".
How to change a key
- Click Configure.
- Saved secret keys show only their last four characters. Leave a box as it is to keep its key.
- Clear the box and paste the new key to replace it.
- Click Save Integration.
How to send emails from your own mailbox
- Click Configure on the Email card.
- Fill in the boxes. Your email provider can give you each one.
• Sender address: the address members see the email come from.
• Mail server: for example smtp.gmail.com for Gmail, or smtp.office365.com for Outlook.
• Port: 587 for most providers. 465, 2525 and 25 are also allowed.
• Username: usually your full email address.
• Password: for Gmail or Outlook, an "app password", not your usual password. Ask your email provider how to make one. - Turn Active on.
- Click Save Integration. The app signs in to your mailbox to check the details. If they are wrong, it says why and nothing is saved.
- Open Configure again and click Send test email. A test goes to your own staff email address. Check your inbox, and your spam folder.
Good to know
- Email off: members' emails come from OkraGym's address (noreply@okragym.site) with your gym's name in front. Replies go to your Contact Email in Settings → Theme & Branding.
- Email on: members' emails come from your own address, through your own mailbox.
- The mailbox password is locked away. It shows masked. Leave the box as it is to keep it.
- The mail server must be a public one. Private network addresses are refused.
- Send test email uses the saved details. Save your changes first, then send the test.
- "Last email failed" shows on the Email card, with the time and the reason, if an email later fails to go through your mailbox. Saving the details again clears it.
- Stripe needs both keys: the Publishable Key (starts with pk_test_ or pk_live_) and the Secret Key (starts with sk_test_ or sk_live_). Both must be test keys, or both live keys.
- A new Stripe secret key is tried with Stripe before it is saved. If Stripe refuses it, the reason shows under the box and nothing is saved.
- Card payment in the client panel also needs the Online method switched on in Settings → Payment Methods.
- Stripe off means no new card payments: not in the client panel, not by pay link, not for wallet top-ups. Refunds of past card payments still work.
- Twilio SMS needs three things: the Account SID (AC and 32 letters and digits), the Auth Token, and the From Number written with + and the country code.
- WhatsApp Business needs an Access Token and the Phone Number ID from Meta's WhatsApp → API Setup page. The ID is a number Meta gives you. It is not your phone number.
- Texts and WhatsApp messages are used for group messages and for notifications that have an SMS or WhatsApp template. They are sent only while the service is on.
- A service can't be switched on with a required key missing.
- Keys are checked for their shape. A wrong one is refused, with the reason under its box.
- Who can do what: anyone who can view settings can open this page. Only the owner, or a role with permission to update settings, can change keys or switches. Others see a note and View buttons.
Common questions
Why is the switch greyed out? A required key is missing. Click Configure and add it.I turned Stripe on, but clients can't pay by card. Why?
Check that the Online method is on in Settings → Payment Methods.
Why do I only see the end of my key?
Saved secrets are hidden for safety. Only the last four characters show.
My test email did not arrive. What do I check?
Look in your spam folder. Then check the mail server, port, username and app password with your email provider, and save again.
How do I know if a text message failed?
When you send a group message, the app says how many were sent and how many could not be sent. If none went, check the keys here.
